- I’m Buckling Up for a Rollercoaster Ride Through Quinn’s Mind

I’m up for a rollercoaster ride in Quinn’s mind and all i’m having is goosebumps
Overall This is the wild ride i’m buckling up for
Chapter 2 Our brains, from the neural level to the level of language
Chapter 3 Learning artifacts that arise from our architecture
Chapter 4 Some new perspectives with implications for learning
Chapter 5 The emotional side of learning
Chapter 6 Learning to learn
Chapter 7 Learning experience design implications
Chapter 8 How it all fits together
You know the vibes…
Learning in public and documenting every shift in my way of thinking…
If you care about your craft and your’e just starting you can do one of two’s ;
1.Get and read “Learning science” on your own
2.Follow me and uncover my own findings together.
One beautiful thing Clark Quinn did that amazed me was the Activities he put for us to do,to get the best of his book which are as follows;
1. Reframing the content, whether mentally, into different terms, or physically, in terms of rewriting core ideas, mind-mapping the content, or sketch-noting it.(AlhamdullilLah i mostly do this as i can't do what i do without this exact prompt. So this is a positive reinforcement for me)
2. Reflecting on how the content explains things you’ve experienced in the past, including good and bad learning.( New to me… but will surely practice In Sha ALLAH)
And asking myself as i work through the content :
3. What does this imply that I should do (differently)? (My best friend)
4. Making it a habit to track learning science translations and translators (My newest friend on the list).

Where this comes from
- Learning Science by Clark Quinn — If you design learning, teach, or train people, you need to understand what is actually happening when someone learns. Learning happens at the neural level, but we design for it at the cognitive level. There’s a lot more in Clark Quinn’s book that I can’t share because of **intellectual property**. Get the book and experience the learning yourself. 📚You Would Love It!
