- What Happens When Audio Becomes a Barrier to Learning?
Giving Our learners another way to recognize the same meaning is a key ingredient to having our learning experience design accessible to all type of learners
And just like this principle is applied on visual delivery, it also applies when information is delivered through audio.
But let me demonstrate how ,
So imagine you’re going through a training on what instructional design is about and you get to a slide where, you can see an icon that tells you i am speaking but can’t hear what im saying.
Now think about how "not being considered" a learner with disability would feel, when they eventually get to a point where you signed them out of the learning experience through their sensory limited channel you didnt provide information access to for someone with hearing disability
Compared to the flip side…
where its the same audio meaning but another learning experience design passing information through audio makes use of Captions, Transcript, Visual cues to make it accessible for those who can't hear.

- Check out "Learning Science" by Clark Quinn — If you design learning, teach, or train people, you need to understand what is actually happening when someone learns. Learning happens at the neural level, but we design for it at the cognitive level. There’s a lot more in Clark Quinn’s book that I can’t share because of **intellectual property**. Get the book and experience the learning yourself. 📚You Would Love It!
- Check out "40 L&D Stakeholder Challenges: Of L&D Leaders, Practitioners, Clients, and Learners" by Guy W. Wallace — This book shares the answers I got from my EPPI-PACT Guidance Bot. The free EPPI-PACT Guidance Bot is a digital, interactive knowledge-transfer resource designed to help Learning and Development (L&D) practitioners, performance consultants, and business leaders master and apply Guy W. Wallace’s Performance Improvement and Performance Based L&D methodologies.
